Icknield also had six riders at Sunday's Hitchin Nomads 25-mile race on the F1 course at Sandy. Fastest home was 65-year-old Brian Davies, who clocked 1.02.42hrs, which was his fastest time at that distance since making his racing comeback last year.

Last week, the club's Tuesday evening league series event on the Clophill to Maulden 10-mile circuit attracted 20 riders, with Paul Abraham recording a decent time of 22.46mins.
Queen finished in 24.09mins, Andy Parrish, 24.59mins, Blackmore, 25.41mins, Colin Holmes, 26.10mins, Peter Hopkins, 26.23mins, Phil O'Leary, 26.51mins, John Pfeiffer, 26.55mins, Baines, 28.08mins, Chris Collier-Wood, 28.47mins, and Maurice Burton, 29.31mins.
Julie Marsden, meanwhile, clocked a notable time of 30.46mins, in her first season of racing, while the fastest rider of the evening was Nick Pitt with 22.27mins.
Elsewhere, Simon Thomson finished as part of the main field at the La Marmotte 174km race in France.
CC Luton's Alan Galloway, meanwhile, performed well to finish sixth at the 32-mile Ciclos Uno summer series circuit race at Basildon.
He broke away halfway through the race and was part of a leading group of eight riders who worked well together, finishing a minute ahead of the bunch.
The eight riders sprinted for the line, with Galloway coming home in sixth place.
Team-mates Richard Mead and Chris Edgson, meanwhile, also did well to finish in the main field.
