Third arrest for assault on pregnant woman
Police investigating an assault on a pregnant woman that resulted in the loss of her unborn baby have made a further arrest.
The incident happened in Bermondsey on Monday, 15 June. The victim, former University of Bedfordshire student Malorie Bantala, lost her unborn child in the attack.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested today on Thursday,, on suspicion of conspiracy to commit GBH and child destruction.
He was taken to a south London police station and later bailed to a date in October.
Two people have been charged in connection with this case.
